What drives the score
How to read this
Grades run S to D, read from the buyer's side. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. How the grades work
About the game
The great action-crazed, guns blazing, shoot ‘em up game comes back straight out of the ‘90s. Raptor: Call of the Shadows and its futuristic world are ready to challenge your flying skills.
Minimum specs
Minimum on the Steam store: 1 GB of memory, Intel HD Graphics, 502 MB of storage. Windows only.
The value story
It has been discounted 48 times in the 12 years tracked here. The median cut across all of them is 70 percent, about 12 weeks apart. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended about 18 weeks ago.
Value puts it in the top 40 percent of the games it competes with. It is cheaper than 74 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 61 percent. On the same math LUFTRAUSERS ($9.99, scores 74) and Planes, Bullets and Vodka ($0.49, scores 69) are the better buys, and they are the games it most resembles.

I played this the first time as kid on my father's PC via a demo on the PC magazine CD. So much good memories and my first touch point with vertical Shoot-'em-up games that then I later played a lot on arcade machines. All just to point out that wouldn't the game been a good representer of its genre, I wouldn't spend many more hours on the genre. I loved the over the edge military scenario, weapon and enemy variety...
