A very good game. One of my favourites. I played it back in 1999 and in 2026 again. It had bugs back then and it has bugs now. Some of them won't let you finish the game at all permanantly. Still love it though.

Absolutely outstanding and magical journey, with a top notch soundtrack. I still can't believe they were able to pull off something like that with 1999 hardware. Back when I was a kid I only played it a bit, and boy am I glad I decided to pick it up again years later. That being said, I'd advise to save regularly, and keep copies of your saved games. Outcast is prone to bug out sometimes, so your mileage may vary ...
I admit, I've never beaten this game as a kid. But as an adult, it feels like a treat to come back to it. It's rough and outdated, but it still plays well. It's slow pace compared to stuff nowadays, but that's sorta part of the charm of older games. In an age where a lot of modern games will hold you hand, this is nice to come back to that'll have you actually read and keep in mind of stuff to come back to.
