What players say
just a smidge too short and a smidge too bare, in my opinion, but the high moments are *astoundingly* high everybody raves on about the game's finale but Project Junebug is a mission i'll remember for the rest of my life

While not teaching obvious real-life hacking methods. It is the best game for getting the hang of learning hacking. But not for beginners. To actually make one have fun on this game, first they should know the basic usage of a computer terminal. After that, this game really becomes incredible and satisfying.
Hacknet keeps surprising me with how thoroughly thought out it is. The mechanic where the game stops mid session and you have to fix it through your own real terminal is really clever; I haven't seen anything else do that. My two wishes for what's left to play: some way to upgrade RAM, and the ability to delete folders. Not sure if either is already in there since I haven't finished it yet. The performance is great.

Hacknet is an immersive, terminal-based hacking simulator for PC. Dive down a rabbit hoIe as you follow the instructions of a recently deceased hacker, whose death may not have been the accident the media reports.
