The value story
The lowest price on record is $2.59, set in March 2023. It has been discounted 69 times in the 11 years tracked here, typically at 60 percent off, with about 6 weeks between sales.
Value puts it in the top 1 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 76 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 95 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Beholder: Conductor ($4.19, scores 86) beats it on value, while it beats Death and Taxes ($12.99, scores 73).
None of the 353 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written April 2020 to September 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 64 percent of the 129 reviews written there were positive, against 90 percent overall, and those are 11 percent of everything written about it.
Finishing takes 3 hours; clearing it takes 42, which is 14 times the campaign.
Valve rates it Steam Deck Verified, and at 3 hours it is short enough to finish on one.

What players say
This is genuinely one of my favorite games that I've ever played. As you can see, I have a crazy amount of time in it and there are still scenes that I have not seen. There are so many different fun routes and people to meet and awesome steampunk inventions to discover. I am so in love with this world and absolutely recommend playing it. It runs perfectly, great simple graphics, and really fun mechanics.
Just did my first paythrough and I am absolutely in love with this game. I can already see the vast replay-ability of it. Highly recommend.
I've only played it once and didn't finish in time, but I'm planning a replay. The dialogue is solid and the events are engaging. I also really like the slightly steampunk setting, but the visuals just didn't grab me at all. It lacks animation, warmth, and that certain 'soul' in the art style and there is not enough of illustrations. As a video game illustrator, there isn't a game I've wanted to redraw from scratch...
