The value story
The lowest price on record is $19.99, set in June 2018. It has been discounted 62 times in the 9 years tracked here, typically at 50 percent off, with about 7 weeks between sales.
It is pricier than 95 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 93 percent. The games it most resembles do better on the same math. Battlefield 3™ ($39.99, scores 29) and Battlefield 4™ ($3.99, scores 60) both outscore it.
Steam's global achievement data puts 40 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. The median game this site can measure sits at 15. Players rate it 55 percent positive over its lifetime, and the last 30 days run 70 percent. It is aging into a better game than its average suggests. This site sampled 800 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 31 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written June 2025 to September 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 9 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 1,071 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 56 have a larger share. The typical game sits near 5 in 1,000, so the score docks it. 7 of the 31 refunded reviewers were past Valve's two-hour window when they wrote the review. Inside the two-hour refund window, 16 percent of the 3,662 reviews written there were positive, against 55 percent overall, and those are 28 percent of everything written about it.
Finishing takes 6.2 hours; clearing it takes 16, which is 2.6 times the campaign.

What players say
Bought it purely to replay the campaign, and it exceeded my expectations. The visual facelift makes iconic missions like Mile High Club and Crew Expendable feel cinematic and modern while keeping the classic, tight gameplay intact. Captain Price is back, and it's as good as ever.
it keeps crashing after we find out that m1a1 abrams tank callsign "war pig" is down its good but you have to turn off shader preloading atleast for me.
Another embarrassing port by Activision. This game is only 9 years old and cannot run properly on PC, requiring numerous fixes to even get the campaign to load. Firstly, turn off shader preload, cache sun shadows, cache spot shadows, and fill remaining memory in the settings. Run the game in fullscreen and turn off Steam overlay as it's incompatible with the game engine. I've also heard running the game as an...
