Of the games I've played outside of Streets of Rage 4, this is the best. Competent design that games like Mother Russia Bleeds lack, no "visual spaghetti" like Fight'N Rage. Great visuals and combat. Feels like every good old school beat em up rolled into one glorious package. Only downside is almost every boss has a spin attack that they just spam on you constantly. Other than that, love it.
If you're looking for a modern beat 'em up that respects (and even imitates) the classics like Streets of Rage and Final Fight, The Takeover is worthy.
