The value story
It has never been cheaper than $5.99. That was June 2026. It has been discounted 62 times in the 10 years tracked here, typically at 40 percent off, with about 6 weeks between sales. $2.21 is what it would take to make this a BANGER, and nothing in its history goes that low.
On value it sits in the top 40 percent of its genre. It is better reviewed than 92 percent of its genre. Among the games that feel like it, Overload ($29.99, scores 61) beats it on value, while it beats STAR WARS™: Squadrons ($39.99, scores 14).
Of the 339 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 1 comes from a buyer who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written March 2020 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 89 percent of the 995 reviews written there were positive, against 94 percent overall, and those are 38 percent of everything written about it.
The main story runs 0.9 hours. Doing everything runs 4, 4.4 times as long.

What players say
The only thing that can be kind of difficult to use is switching back and forth between a blaster and the laser shield by reaching behind your back. This didn't always work for me as intended and would frequently trigger in seemingly different locations. Other than that, this game is fantastic!
Blast space pirates out of the sky like an 80s arcade game except... you're actually in the game in a 3D world. You get a shield, weapon options, power ups, different game modes, and more. Banger music, guns go pew pew, and space pirates that you need to save the universe from. What more could you want? Tip - If you have a Rift S or similar headset you will likely want to go into Steam settings and disable haptics...
Great game worth every penny, love the ability to whip enemies into the ground and explode them.
