i played this way back in like 2017ish and i distinctly remember that i cried through most of it, it was like in the span of a single night much of which i just spent bawling. which probably has at least something to do with how i haven't actually read the original novel so i wasn't emotionally prepared for the twist. that said, after this reread, even though i didn't cry it still hits pretty hard, still very good...
