The value story

January 2025 is where it bottomed out, at $23.99. It has been discounted 21 times in the 10 years tracked here, typically at 50 percent off, with about 19 weeks between sales.

Against its own genre it lands in the top 2 percent on value. It is pricier than 99 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 90 percent. Among the games closest to it, Prototype 2 ($39.99, scores 37) and How to Survive ($14.99, scores 58) both come in lower.

Steam's global achievement data puts about 13 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. On a 10.2-hour game, the hours short of it still count in its price per hour. This site sampled 406 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 8 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written March 2020 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 7 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 2,814 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 782 have a larger share. Inside the two-hour refund window, 38 percent of the 465 reviews written there were positive, against 85 percent overall, and those are 14 percent of everything written about it.

The main story runs 10.2 hours. Doing everything runs 54, 5.3 times as long.

What players say

The game is fun and does a good job capturing the Attack on Titan experience, but it starts to feel repetitive after a few missions. If you're deciding between this and the sequel, I'd recommend going straight for A.O.T. 2, as it offers more content, better mission variety, and improved visuals. Despite that, this game is still enjoyable on its own. The achievements, however, almost drove me insane,i usually like...

Very fun game and I love it. Playing on PC provides a unique challenge that playing with a controller doesn't have, that being key bindings. You can't use your mouse in the game but that's not stopping me from finding solutions to turning the camera. That and the cutscenes are next to 1-to-1 to the anime story wise. I'm so damn grateful that I'm able to live in the time period where we get A.O.T. in general.
