What drives the score
How to read this
Every input gets a grade, S to D, read from the buyer's side. The score is multiplicative, so an input only counts as raising when it sits near the top of its own scale. Anything with real room left is holding the score back, because that room is the gap to 100. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. The exact weights stay secret.
The value story
It has never been cheaper than $2.99. That was December 2024. It has been discounted 72 times in the 9 years tracked here, typically at 80 percent off, with about 6 weeks between sales. Today's $2.99 at 90 percent off matches the lowest price in the record.
At full price it scores 22. The current cut is what makes it a 35.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 37 percent on value. It is pricier than 98 percent of its genre. Among the games that feel like it, Overgrowth ($19.99, scores 44) beats it on value, while it beats 8BitMMO (free, scores 6).
15 of the 800 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written March 2021 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 7 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 3,221 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 989 have a larger share. Inside the two-hour refund window, 37 percent of the 1,192 reviews written there were positive, against 73 percent overall, and those are 10 percent of everything written about it.
Finishing takes 5.1 hours; clearing it takes 20, which is 4.0 times the campaign.

What players say
The artsyle and combat gameplay is pretty good, but you have to backtrack a lot and defeat the same bosses often. The traveling movement is slow and uses up stamina, kind of like breath of the wild. 世界観と戦闘のゲームプレイは良いけど、同じマップを行き来して同じボスを繰り返して倒さないといけない。マップの行き来も、ブレワイのように、スタミナを消費するから遅い。
The fact that i went 10 years without posting a review about how incredible this game was is an insult, sloclap im sorry
played this a decade ago when it was free with PS plus and didn't understand it and overthought the stance system. Now replaying it, I absolutely love the game. the combat is so fluid and the dodging (if you pick the dodging class) is super satisfying. whenever I died, I never felt angry or cheated, just happy to learn from the experience and grow as a player. patience with the game is rewarding because once it...

Absolver scores 35/100 on the BANG Score (a skip). The BANG Score rates what a game is worth for the money. Via Steam BANGERS. https://steambangers.com/game/473690/absolverThe BANG Score is one number for value, 0 to 100: price against how it reviews and how long it was built to be. It answers the money question and stops there; whether the game is for you is still your call.
Reviews set the ceiling and price moves you inside it, so a cheap game that reviews badly cannot climb. Ratings from few reviewers are shrunk toward the middle, so 100 percent from nine people does not outrank 96 percent from ninety thousand. Length comes from HowLongToBeat where it can be matched, measured against a per-genre floor so a five-hour narrative game is judged against other narrative games rather than against a sixty-hour RPG. Where no verified length exists the score says so and carries a dock, because the biggest input is then a guess. The full method, including where it is weak → Steam reviews as of Aug 2, price as of Sep 24.
