Fascinating game. I don't think I would ever replay it but I'm glad I did it once. Sometimes the story gets a little too full of itself, and I imagine the prologue is a bit too much for a lot of people to sit through. It's a lot of near-nonsense dialogue without anything to anchor you into the story or care about anything, so I don't doubt a lot of people are deterred by that. This game is not fun in the way games normally are. Pathologic is very slow, thoughtful, and immersive. You'll be rewarded heavily for focusing, following the plot, roleplaying, and generally being careful. But at the same time, if you get comfortable, careless, or greedy at a bad time? It is not afraid to be really cruel. It can make you very, very desperate at points. I don't think a game's made me celebrate...
This is a remarkable game from a talented studio. But, much like the first part, it's not for everyone, unfortunately. If you're a perfectionist, if it's essential for you to see every bit of content in a single playthrough, to save everyone, and to loot everything - then this isn't the game for you.
