The value story
The lowest price on record is $5.99, set in November 2019. Its cuts run 70 percent off as a rule. There have been 52 in the 9 years tracked, about 8 weeks apart.
Value puts it in the top 2 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 97 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 94 percent. The nearest things to it, WWE 2K25 ($59.99, scores 24) and Wrestling Empire ($19.99, scores 67), are both worse buys on this math.
Of the 399 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 11 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written November 2020 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 7 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 2,725 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 755 have a larger share. Inside the two-hour refund window, 57 percent of the 272 reviews written there were positive, against 90 percent overall, and those are 9 percent of everything written about it.
The main story runs 27.8 hours. Doing everything runs 191, 6.9 times as long.

I bought this game a few years ago, when it was on the Steam winter sale. I installed it, played it, and I did not think much of it, because back in the day, I had no idea who was NJPW. I ended up uninstalling it, and moving on. Some years later, I had taken interest in NJPW, and I began to play the older games of Fire Pro, not realizing that I had Fire Pro Wrestling World in my library. I reinstalled it again, and...
Must have for wrestling fans of all ages and fans of all eras. Great creative community where you can get just about any wrestler from any time who you can think of. Customization of those wrestlers you download isn't difficult to learn but can be time consuming depending on how realistic you want them to be. Incredible detail on both appearance and moves from some of the more prolific creators. Can be enjoyed as a...
The game was fine for the first few years I played it. But now, it doesn't even load anymore. The game is stuck on the black loading screen, even on my new laptop. And it sounds like there's others that are having this issue as well. And neither Spike Chunsoft nor Steam are willing to resolve the issue for whatever reason.
