The value story

It has never been cheaper than $3.99. That was November 2018. Its cuts run 35 percent off as a rule. There have been 54 in the 8 years tracked, about 6 weeks apart.

Value puts it in the top 1 percent of the games it competes with. It is better reviewed than 99 percent of its genre. The nearest things to it, Welcome to Kowloon ($6.99, scores 41) and Escape the Ayurok ($10.99, scores 37), are both worse buys on this math.

On this data it would still be a BANGER at $16.51. It costs $7.99.

This site sampled 312 of its Steam-purchase reviews; none were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written January 2021 to September 2026.

What players say

i'm going to wait until the final chapter before i make a serious review, but i just wanted to say that even after well over a decade this is still my favorite higurashi chapter. getting to experience it after all these years made fall in love with rena's character all over again. such great writing. hau ~

It turned out to be a pretty cool and interesting episode, especially with Rena's madness. They showed us really well how she gradually went crazy, and it was fun to watch and read. Definitely, this episode turned out to be solid and worth its money, just like the previous episodes!

hau!! this is probably my favourite higurashi game of all time. rena is my favourite after all, and the focus on her, means that you're in for a world of conspiracy! get ready to hear one of the greatest higurashi theories descending into madness. when the higurashi cry, rena theorises.
