More about Dustborn
7 of the 467 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written August 2024 to August 2026. Finally got round to playing this after buying it out of sheer annoyance at all the negative responses early on. Turns out that was all rather ironic. Red Thread do wonderful story telling and I willingly spent a few immersive hours letting the doom and gloom headlines fade away. Loved the bits of poetry here and there and Rubber Ducky's cameo! (Looking out for at least one crow ref in the upcoming games...) Thanks...
So unoptimized that it literally destroyed my Ryzen 7 9800X3D. I threw the box away too, so I can't use the warranty. This game cost me $400-500. Only played it as a torture goal, but costing me half a grand is way more torture than I had planned. Play at your own risk.
