Silly, unpolished and janky. Yet, somehow it's part of the charm. If you are looking for a local multiplayer game to play, and this is on sale for $4 or less. Absolutely get it. It's a riot with a group of gamers. You will get your money's worth. If you are playing alone, and thinking of paying $14.99 (full price) for this game. You are going to have a bad time.
Nippon Marathon is a game like Takeshi's Castle but on a weird sugar high, with characters so eccentric they make anime characters look restrained. I laughed - a lot - at the bizarre events, nonsensical obstacles, and characters that looked like they escaped from a B-movie. But I also felt mildly nervous about this game. Why? Because it wasn't made in Japan. And maybe this wouldn't be a big deal, but for someone...
