The value story
It has never been cheaper than $5.99. That was June 2020. 60 discounts in the 8 years on record. They run about 50 percent off, roughly 6 weeks apart. No sale on record has reached $3.17, the price it would take to be a BANGER.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 8 percent on value. It is pricier than 96 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 97 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Beholder ($13.99, scores 72) beats it on value, while it beats [Chilla's Art] Night Delivery | 例外配達 ($2.99, scores 48).
This site sampled 365 of its Steam-purchase reviews; none were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written March 2020 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 83 percent of the 142 reviews written there were positive, against 93 percent overall, and those are 9 percent of everything written about it.

It's not for everyone, particularly those who prefer action or complex gameplay; but for readers who appreciate subtle storytelling and nuanced...
