Excellent game all around Incredibly satisfying combat Fun puzzles Great music beautiful retro aesthetic EDIT: Game takes an extremely parry-focused turn from floor 5 onwards, and is honestly just not fun after that point. Every fight is just an onslaught of constant enemy attacks that seemingly never stop, along with fights where attacks aren't telegraphed clearly in any way. NG+ has soured my opinion on this game...
It's OK. While the game takes a dungeon crawler formula as it's core mechanic, it isn't exactly checking all the boxes for me to be considered one. The only loot you'll ever get from combat are the monster parts, of which you'll need a certain number to unlock new potions and special moves.
