What players say
I love the prequel. Even though we already get to know Morgana's backstory in the base game, this one connects you more deeply to Morgana, and especially to Jacopo. You'll understand Jacopo complexity better through his story, accompanied by some very beautiful background music. Anyhow, it's pretty engaging for a prologue. There are also some great reveals that always managed to surprise me. But I can't really say...
Even though I greatly enjoyed the base game, I've always felt like the the last leg of the story had some aspects that could be critiqued, most notably the part where Jacopo's fall was recounted. It was quite the opposite of "show, don't tell", and I thus failed to understand why people held him in such high regard as a character. It was not that compelling, it felt quite "matter of fact". A Requiem for Innocence...
Some stories leave memories. Others leave scars, and somehow, those scars make you a better person. This was one of them. I will carry it with me forever.
