What drives the score
How to read this
Grades run S to D, read from the buyer's side. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. How the grades work
About the game
A SUPER throwback to the classic quarter eating arcade games of the 80's. Super Bit Blaster XL is an (even more) enhanced version of the retro styled, addictive, and fast paced arcade shoot 'em up!
Minimum specs
Minimum on the Steam store: 1 GB of memory, 512MB +, 502 MB of storage. Runs on Windows, macOS, Linux.
The value story
69 discounts in the 7 years on record, a median of 83 percent off across all of them, roughly 5 weeks apart. Today's $0.89 at 70 percent off still sits 89 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.
Value puts it in the top 3 percent of the games it competes with. It is cheaper than 85 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 97 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Bit Blaster XL ($0.59, scores 96) beats it on value, while it beats Beat Hazard 2 ($5.69, scores 62).

What players say
Its a pretty cool little table top shooter. What you see in the Store is what you get. Not really super hard; is colorful and chaotic. A nice meditation, with no real highs or lows. Grind your way forward to unlocking new spaceships, eventually getting the last most powerful ship to finish off all the achievements. An easy one for achievement hunters, no stress at all.

Super Bit Blaster XL, developed and published by Adamvision Studios, is a sharp, focused arcade shooter that understands exactly what makes the genre compelling and wastes no time getting there. It doesn't rely on elaborate storytelling or layered progression systems-instead, it builds its identity around immediacy, precision, and the addictive pull of chasing a higher score. From the first few seconds, it becomes...
I think it's way past time for me to give up on this game. It does have potential, and I do love it to a point. I like the format and the game play, BUT, it's just too hard. I've tried really hard to improve my skills, and I FINALLY defeated the rotating monster thing ONCE....FINALLY, but died right after that. I just don't think the game is programmed to give players enough of a chance to keep going, or defeat the...
