What drives the score
How to read this
Grades run S to D, read from the buyer's side. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. How the grades work
About the game
Koral, a love letter to the ocean. Dive into the beautiful underwater world as a sea current. Solve puzzles to bring back to life coral reefs and spread the beauty of the oceans in different sea ecosystems.
Minimum specs
Minimum on the Steam store: 2 GB of memory, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti / ATI Radeon HD 7950, 1 GB of storage. Windows only.
The value story
It has been discounted 67 times in the 7 years tracked here. The median cut across all of them is 75 percent, about 5 weeks apart. Today's $4.49 at 70 percent off still sits 277 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 9 percent on value. It is pricier than 82 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 80 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Meadow - A Shelter Game ($6.99, scores 74) beats it on value, while it beats ABZU ($19.99, scores 58).
More about Koral
Steam's global achievement data puts about 17 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. On a 2.1-hour game, the hours short of it still count in its price per hour. 2 of the 263 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written March 2020 to July 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 66 percent of the 147 reviews written there were positive, against 82 percent overall, and those are 40 percent of everything written about it.

What players say
The graphics and sound design were cool. This is another interesting little puzzle game. Took me only like three and a half hours or so to get all the achievements.

Neat little game if you enjoy ocean themed stuff. I would've preferred it to just be a walking(swimming) simulator, as I found the controls kind of annoying and the puzzles amplified that whenever I had to backtrack or be more precise in my movement- and that becomes VERY annoying when a time limit element is added :( I do not want to be racing a clock in my comfy ocean game :( Aside from that though, the ocean...
The idea is good and admirable, the execution is annoying and eye strain inducing (colors and use of light). The puzzles are either cramped or way too large an area, similarly the collectibles are either shoved in your face, hidden in rewarding places(yay!), or so far off the beaten path you question if the developers were trying to pad playtime. The controls are alright, or they would be if the games hitboxes were...
