Hear me out: I would actually recommend this game if it's on sale for under $15 and/or you only want to play through the 9 movies while enjoying the typical, great LEGO humor. But that's pretty much it. Before we come to all the negativity i also have some positive things to say about the game. -- The graphics are great compared to the old games. -- The open world is filled with stuff to immerse in the world...
I was extremely excited for this when it was first announced and bought it day 1. I was so disappointed with the first episode of the game I dropped it and forgot it even existed. At least for 4 years until I decided to download it again, play the first few episodes, and become welmed once more with the mediocre presentation and dry almost half baked gameplay. the original lego games were no feat of game design but...
Inb4: Before I played this, I played the Complete Saga many many years ago as a child, so I have a bias. What I liked: - Space combat is the best in any LEGO game. Dogfights actually feel good - The open-world planets are huge and genuinely fun to explore - Loads of characters, tons of collectibles, no shortage of stuff to do - Character Type Skill Trees What I disliked: - Every episode gets exactly 5 levels...
