The value story
It has never been cheaper than $9.99. That was January 2026. Its cuts run 60 percent off as a rule. There have been 21 in the 3 years tracked, about 6 weeks apart.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 35 percent on value. It is pricier than 94 percent of its genre. Among the games that feel like it, DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR'S CUT ($39.99, scores 82) beats it on value, while it beats Star Wars Outlaws ($17.49, scores 28).
This site sampled 569 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 9 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written March 2024 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 45 percent of the 161 reviews written there were positive, against 79 percent overall, and those are 13 percent of everything written about it.

The game has a large area to explore. In fact doubly so, as verticality is used to great extents, sometimes to very excessive...
This game is fun... however, the fun is locked behind an array of poor story-telling and interface choices. The developers made an open-world game, then they desperately try to control how you interact with that world for the first hours of the game, if not more.
