5/10 The early game is quite interesting and kept me engaged, but once the "open world" opens up, the game becomes rather boring. I really liked the art style and overall atmosphere. The combat gets very repetitive. There is barely any noticeable difference between the different swords, and everything feels a bit clunky. It's not a bad game, but it's not especially great either. A decent way to kill some time.

Baffling. Simply baffling that this game has "mixed" reviews. I would understand "mostly positive" because of some jankiness and simple combat, but "mixed" is just disrespectful. There are some games that you can tell are made by gamers first and artists/storytellers second, and some games that are the opposite. This is most certainly an artist first game. This game suffers from what I can only assume is too many creative directions and not enough people just saying NO. The game has no identity and its almost immediately felt within the first hour of gameplay. It WANTS to be a deep lore rich world with souls like combat and interesting ideas.
