This game was wonderful. I kinda dreaded the experience at first because I expected it to be like the Dagger of Amon-Ra, or to a lesser extent The Colonel's Bequest, where you could miss too much stuff, but I actually netted the best ending and a really high score on my first playthrough with not too much google-fu (I'm grieving rn gimme a break I could never FULLY rawdog a game like this). It's exactly what it says on the tin, it's an old-school 16-color, text parser adventure game for the modern era. The graphics, gameplay, writing, and audio are all totally on point. However, for those who don't know what they're getting into with this style of game, you can absolutely die randomly and lose tons of progress if you haven't saved recently, and you will definitely need to replay the game multiple times...
Fantastic game by a fantastic developer. Truly a gift of a game, made even more unique and in this day and age of auto-generated, generic generative AI efforts, with no soul and/or identify of it's own. Her next game is near the top of my 1000+ wishlisted games list.
