I love the Yakuza series. Truly, all of it. It's a masterpiece and probably one of my top 5 favorite games of all time. But I can't stand this part. It's trite, repetitive, plainly dumb in many places - and not the good, Yakuza-style, wacky type of dumb. Oh boy. Okay, this will not be spoiler-free, nor will it be particularly fair to this game. Yakuza 5 is sometimes held up as the "best in the series" and I'm telling you this from the perspective of a newcomer, I didn't and still don't feel that way. I gave Yakuza 4 a thumbs down overall because the game's story peaked at a cliffside and fell down to Jahannam, and the game's rough edges and lack of QoL made much of...
