How to read this

The value story

The lowest price on record is $11.24, set in December 2025. 16 discounts in the 2 years on record. They run about 50 percent off, roughly 7 weeks apart.

It is pricier than 99 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 94 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Soldiers: Heroes of World War II - Enhanced Edition ($4.99, scores 60) beats it on value, while it beats Company of Heroes 3 ($23.99, scores 3).

33 of the 800 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written May 2025 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 9 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 2,814 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 234 have a larger share. The typical game sits near 5 in 1,000, so the score docks it. 6 of the 33 refunded reviewers were past Valve's two-hour window when they wrote the review. Inside the two-hour refund window, 31 percent of the 1,227 reviews written there were positive, against 60 percent overall, and those are 22 percent of everything written about it.

What players say

The whole "MEN OF WAR" franchise does find an end with this one. Especially with the fact that it has to be the "always online" mentality today. You will get thrown into the multplayer tab right from the start, even if you do not want to play multiplay in any way! Sound effects are just so dull and even the color scheme is bad cause oversaturation. Go and play GATES OF HELL instead. Might be a buggy mess but you'll...

I loved MOW1 and MOW assault squad2 but this game, is worse the game is not the same quality that I was expected and the optimization is very pure my laptop barely run it, MOW assault squad is 32 bit and have better optimization and quality, I was not expecting to be like this worse. graphics could more better, the gameplay is worse than ever even MOW controls are better than this, the missions are very boring ! you...

TL DR, Conquest is good, if you play Gates Dynamic to death, this is a good grab. If you're a pvper, Gates of hell is objectively better in most ways. I got into detail of why I like the PVE below I like the PVE, namely conquest. Key notes, unlike Gates of hell that scale based on time, Men of war 2 scales based on how far you got so flat out staying in the lower areas early to grind special units or special groups...
