What drives the score
How to read this
Every input gets a grade, S to D, read from the buyer's side. The score is multiplicative, so an input only counts as raising when it sits near the top of its own scale. Anything with real room left is holding the score back, because that room is the gap to 100. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. The exact weights stay secret.
The value story
December 2024 is where it bottomed out, at $24.99. 37 discounts in the 5 years on record. They run about 40 percent off, roughly 5 weeks apart. Today it is at full price. The last sale was about 2 weeks ago, and on this game's rhythm the next one tends to arrive within 5 weeks.
Value puts it in the top 47 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 97 percent of its genre. Among the games that feel like it, Incursion Red River ($21.99, scores 42) beats it on value, while it beats SCP: 5K ($19.99, scores 36).
Players rate it 79 percent positive over its lifetime, and the last 30 days run 88 percent. It is aging into a better game than its average suggests. This site sampled 800 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 14 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written July 2026 to September 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 64 percent of the 12,035 reviews written there were positive, against 79 percent overall, and those are 5 percent of everything written about it.
Finishing takes 15.9 hours; clearing it takes 59, which is 3.7 times the campaign.

What players say
Intel said there's 1 armed hostile who needs to be taken alive. We reach the compound, everyone is armed to the teeth. After clearing everything, I kick in the door and empty my mag into the target's face. I now know what it's like to be a cop. 10/10 would do it again
I play this game on my steam deck, it's really good! Great storyline, good gameplay. AI is a little weird sometimes, and with the mission editors update you can replay as much as you want. One thing I did notice after this update, text will overlap on the menu making it difficult to read (on the steam deck).
I was very excited to get this game as I played multiple other mil-sim flavored games. Unfortunately, the balance of AI makes this game unplayable. The friendly AI are a bunch of oxygen-starved monkeys who walk in the rooms just to die, and the enemy AI are SEAL Team 6 snipers who can get you from 50 meters with a single shot. After a few easier missions, the game is unplayable for me.

Ready or Not scores 41/100 on the BANG Score (a skip). The BANG Score rates what a game is worth for the money. Via Steam BANGERS. https://steambangers.com/game/1144200/ready-or-notThe BANG Score is one number for value, 0 to 100: price against how it reviews and how long it was built to be. It answers the money question and stops there; whether the game is for you is still your call.
Reviews set the ceiling and price moves you inside it, so a cheap game that reviews badly cannot climb. Ratings from few reviewers are shrunk toward the middle, so 100 percent from nine people does not outrank 96 percent from ninety thousand. Length comes from HowLongToBeat where it can be matched, measured against a per-genre floor so a five-hour narrative game is judged against other narrative games rather than against a sixty-hour RPG. Where no verified length exists the score says so and carries a dock, because the biggest input is then a guess. The full method, including where it is weak → Steam reviews as of Sep 6, price as of Sep 24.
