What players say
There's nothing special in here. Thought the setting or physics of the train and the void would be interesting or cool - nope. It's a minimum effort tether that clips through objects as a nonissue, slow swimming around physics and some prefabbed anchors to grapple to later on. Absolutely no interesting or novel movement in what is an interesting and novel setting / floaty medium. Very, very quickly gets to a grind...

Sadly, VoidTrain has great potential, but the developers have not capitalized on it at all. Gameplay loop The gameplay is fun at first. Gather resources, throw that grappling hook to catch stuff, shoot mines, engage with other trains etc.. but it becomes repetitive really quickly. When you have everything you need already, the main gameplay of going to outposts becomes your only goal, and you just skip everything...
The short version: This is a fun train game with an absolutely non-sensical story that barely anything makes sense. The long version, Void Train is an ok survival game focused on your train and the void. It can be enjoyable if you just enjoy the ride and don't worry too much about it. Just hop into your train and ride away. Still, it is a very flawed game too. The balance is alright until you reach the end game...
