Valheim is fun, until it isn't. Valheim starts out as a genuinely good and enjoyable survival game. Exploring, building, crafting new equipment and figuring out how each biome works is satisfying. The early progression feels like you're constantly discovering something new. Then you reach Swamp. From that point onward, the game becomes increasingly tedious. What was initially an enjoyable survival/exploration loop...

I honestly REALLY like this game but it feels like a time wasting chore most of the time. Enemies literally never leave you alone. Ever. You can't go a few minutes without someone showing up and throwing rocks at you or slapping you around. This includes when you have to travel a decent distance to go gather some ore which you need heaps and heaps and heaps and heaps and heaps and heaps and heaps and heaps and heaps...
We made a boat to go to the swamp!! and died when we got there... So we made a raft to go back!! and leeches broke it halfway.... So we made another raft! and went further out to sea to avoid the leeches!!!! and a sea-monster ate us... 10/10 gameplay. Recommend.
