Pentiment is a game that is so different from anything I've ever played before. I can't help but wonder how the development team managed to make this whole thing work. There is almost no gameplay, the music is barely present, and there is no voice acting. Only sound effects, text, and animations convey life in this world. And yet, despite all of that, it feels so alive, so meaningful, so powerful. The story it tells...
This game is amazing. It's managed to enamour me even with numerous technical issues, as well as some hiccups in continuity (as in, the game not registering some points of information being established or actions having been taken). It felt as though I had been taken back to an instance in the timeline where I hadn't activated a trigger, and frankly, it was frustrating to have happen multiple times. I believe that...
