One of my all time favourite games - along with all its DLCs (and the sequel). Excellent attention to detail - great storytelling - would definitely recommend!
Sighhh okay so this is a bit of a mixed review. The game's great, I really liked the music, and the style, and it was pretty funny at times. The direction the story takes halfway through was unexpected but sure, I rolled with it. The main mechanic of solving the cases was also quite neat, especially in moments where the word you're missing is not reachable as easily as most of them (e.g. the horse running outside)...
I kept overlooking this game because the art put me off, and for some reason I thought the protagonist was the masked figure you see in some cover art, but truth is it's a series of mini detective scenes that build up into an overall narrative. Short version is I really like it. It definitely rewards deduction, examining the scene and getting an overall sense of what happened. Sometimes you need to make deductions...
