This game is great. It's an unusual decision to create a turn-based JRPG after 7+ beat 'em up games, but they never fixed their bloody lock-on, so... anyway Yakuza: LAD is good. Spoilers WILL occur below. PROS: - The story is decent. Parts of it are contrived, but it's a classic JRPG band going up against political forces that are supposed to be beyond their control. Yakuza 7 LAD flirts with being a perfect turn-based RPG. The depth of content, Kasuga's story, and the gameplay loop can easily wrap you in for hundreds of hours. The base game is worth every penny. That said, don't bother purchasing any of the DLC. RGG and Sega just want more of your money. There is PLENTY of content already.
A crazy ride, gripping and (mostly) serious main story with absurd sidequests inbetween. Ichiban is one of the best protagonists of all time
