What drives the score
How to read this
Grades run S to D, read from the buyer's side. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. How the grades work
About the game
On a mysterious remote island, a skull washes up on shore and is reawakened by an enigmatic deity. Dubbed Skully, the newly reanimated being has been summoned to intervene in a war between the deity’s three siblings, whose quarrel jeopardizes the island they call home.
Minimum specs
Minimum on the Steam store: 8 GB of memory, Nvidia GeForce GTX 470 or AMD Radeon HD 7770 series or higher, 14 GB of storage. Windows only.
The value story
It has been discounted 50 times in the 6 years tracked here. The median cut across all of them is 85 percent, about 5 weeks apart. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended 11 days ago.
It is pricier than 64 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 97 percent. The games it most resembles do better on the same math. Moss VR ($9.99, scores 66) and Pumpkin Jack ($29.99, scores 53) both outscore it.

What players say
Skully feels like what happens when devs ask themselves "how do we turn chocolate mint ice-cream into a game?" There is almost not a single aspect of this game that is not designed to be as refreshing as physically possible. The physics, rolling speed, and level designs are as smooth as velvety butter, the lighting and visual value of the game feels like heaven's tropical resort, the characters, their chemistry...

I really wanted to like this game but I just don't. It's too pricey for what it is and I feel like controlling all of these "mud golems" or whatever they're called, kind of just takes away from the fun part of the game (rolling around as a little skull), not to mention they don't feel fun to play as either. I know this isn't really in-depth, but they're the main gripes I had with the game.
