What drives the score

How to read this

Every input gets a grade, S to D, read from the buyer's side. The score is multiplicative, so an input only counts as raising when it sits near the top of its own scale. Anything with real room left is holding the score back, because that room is the gap to 100. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. The exact weights stay secret.

The value story

The lowest price on record is $3.99, set in April 2021. Its cuts run 20 percent off as a rule. There have been 34 in the 6 years tracked, about 9 weeks apart. Today it is at full price. The last sale was this month, and on this game's rhythm the next one tends to arrive within 9 weeks.

Against its own genre it lands in the top 1 percent on value. It is pricier than 85 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 95 percent. The nearest things to it, The Headliners ($7.99, scores 63) and FOREWARNED ($12.99, scores 82), are both worse buys on this math.

Steam's global achievement data says about 12 percent of players ever finish it. On a 3.6-hour game, that is a lot of paid-for hours most people never see. 33 of the 800 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written November 2025 to September 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 8 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 748 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 69 have a larger share. Inside the two-hour refund window, 75 percent of the 9,807 reviews written there were positive, against 90 percent overall, and those are 14 percent of everything written about it.

The main story runs 3.6 hours. Doing everything runs 136, 38 times as long.

It carries Valve's Deck Verified rating and runs 3.6 hours, about as long as a handheld game wants to be.

What players say

ngl, a great game to play with friends with lots of unique maps and overall quite a good lore.

Me and my friends have never had as fun as we had when playing this game. Not because we were laughing all the time But because you have to cooperate and figure out new ways to succeed in the game. Would recommend for a group of friends! :)

Jesus. H. Christ this game is scary as ♥♥♥♥. I'm telling you, the first time I got scared by Molly, I twisted my neck and almost got a brain aneurysm and screamed like a little girl. And I even consider myself quite masculine. Like, if you want a proper near death experience, you should play this game, no buts. Fly high my friends >:(

The BANG Score is one number for value, 0 to 100: price against how it reviews and how long it was built to be. It answers the money question and stops there; whether the game is for you is still your call.

Reviews set the ceiling and price moves you inside it, so a cheap game that reviews badly cannot climb. Ratings from few reviewers are shrunk toward the middle, so 100 percent from nine people does not outrank 96 percent from ninety thousand. Length comes from HowLongToBeat where it can be matched, measured against a per-genre floor so a five-hour narrative game is judged against other narrative games rather than against a sixty-hour RPG. Where no verified length exists the score says so and carries a dock, because the biggest input is then a guess. The full method, including where it is weak → Steam reviews as of Sep 12, price as of Sep 24.

A number here look wrong? Tell me what it got wrong and I will look at the inputs behind it.
