About the game
MARDEK is a fantasy/sci-fi/retro Flash RPG from 2007-2010, which blends parody with a deeper story. It offers solid turn-based RPG combat and dozens of hours of gameplay.
Minimum specs
Minimum on the Steam store: 2 GB of memory, Integrated graphics or dedicated graphics card with 512 MB of VRAM, 154 MB of storage. Windows only.
The value story
It has been discounted 12 times in the 6 years tracked here. The median cut across all of them is 30 percent, about 15 weeks apart. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended about 146 weeks ago.
Value puts it in the top 1 percent of the games it competes with. It is better reviewed than 98 percent of its genre. Among the games closest to it, Sea of Stars: Sunset Edition ($34.99, scores 71) and Super Lesbian Animal RPG ($14.99, scores 87) both come in lower.
$25.50 is where it would stop being a BANGER.

I would always go back to it even when my browser files got wiped. If Mardek was released on Steam earlier, it would have gathered an insane following. Mardek, in my opinion, is a love letter to classic RPGs. It takes all the good elements of it and combined...

I've loved this game since it came out, even with the old multi-key reaction system. This game has been a reminder of just how much focused effort can produce something great. I rate it just below FFVI and tales of symphonia for best classic style rpgs of all time. It has heart, story and an amazing setting. The dreamscape itself is a beautiful bit of lore that really opens up the world and poses interesting...
A very nostalgic time capsule into 2010. The humor is great, the characters are deep, and the lore of the world is vast. Grinding is fun, and while the combat is basic at first, it quickly develops into having great strategy. I just wish it didn't end so abruptly, but I understand that a 4th chapter was impossible. Can't wait to see what else the developer has to share.
