The value story
June 2026 is where it bottomed out, at $14.99. Its cuts run 20 percent off as a rule. There have been 8 in the 18 months tracked, about 9 weeks apart. $9.69 is what it would take to make this a BANGER, and nothing in its history goes that low.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 4 percent on value. It is pricier than 89 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 94 percent. Among the games that feel like it, The Rise of the Golden Idol ($13.99, scores 78) beats it on value, while it beats Home ($4.99, scores 17).

It's not like Unavowed where you have more freedom to make choices, solve the puzzles in different ways and alter the story. Some of the linear puzzles can be a bit frustrating but not overly so. The new art style looks smooth and fits with the game well but...
Wow, I hated everything about this game! I am (was?) a huge Wadjet Eye fan since Blackwell and boy, there was so much wrong with this I don't even know where to begin. - The core conceit of this timey-wimey BS is so toothless and contrived. "Oh no we can't change the timeline or affect the past here" until it suits the story. - Thus the gameplay .. is tedious! It's not an adventure game. It's not even a visual novel...
