What players say
If you are new to shmups this game has excellent tutorials to ease you into the fundamental techniques that all shmups rely on. Fantastic art and gameplay.
While I'm not a huge shmup fan, I have been following Akiragoya for many years and this is by far his most polished release. The man has been making shmups for close to 30 years and sought to make something truly unique, that could acclimate new players to the genre, and succeeded. Much has been said of the tutorial but it must reiterated that this is probably one of the best crash courses to the basics of the genre...
The rare story that takes the word "billion" seriously. A fascinating premise married to good-enough bullet-hell gameplay.
