More about Shovel Knight Dig
This site sampled 504 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 10 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written September 2022 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 8 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 1,174 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 107 have a larger share. Inside the two-hour refund window, 54 percent of the 165 reviews written there were positive, against 75 percent overall, and those are 20 percent of everything written about it.

The most damning thing I can say about this game is that it's a roguelike with a tiny item pool. Even after unlocking everything, there's a very good chance you'll have the opportunity to get almost if not every item in the game on a given run at least once. And despite that, there's huge variance in the usefulness of any given item-you could get complete and total immunity to any and all floor spikes...or you could...
