Honestly baffled this game didn't find greater success. It feels like if Destroy All Monsters MATURED into a game with more interesting (and cool) gameplay. It should honestly be a must-buy for anyone that loved Destroy All Monsters back in the day.
This game is the exact scratch that any childhood fan of Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee/Save the Earth has been looking for. Unlike those games, however, the controls and combo potential have been properly implemented to allow for some really fun gameplay. Each character feels unique, and the art direction and general tone are just so wonderful. HIGHLY recommended to any kaiju, mecha, or 4 player brawler fan...
There's not much playtime to be gotten with the story mode BUT the arcade mode and side content is where it really shines. If you have a couple friends and some free time in and evening, you could have a blast with this game. Sadly, I only had myself. It was still worth it to experience the story, which has a lot of charm and clear inspirations while remaining unique. I mainly got this game for the Godzilla DLC but...
