What drives the score
How to read this
Grades run S to D, read from the buyer's side. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. How the grades work
About the game
A child is missing. The police are failing. And you're a retired detective with a bit too much time on your hands. Time to throw out the rules & do whatever it takes to bring the child home. From the developers of I AM RIPPER, The Occupation & Ether One.
Minimum specs
Minimum on the Steam store: 8 GB of memory, GeForce GTX 660 ( 2048 MB) / Radeon RX 560X (4096 MB), 10 GB of storage. Windows only.
The value story
29 discounts in the 5 years on record, a median of 35 percent off across all of them, roughly 9 weeks apart. Today's $12.49 at 50 percent off still sits 25 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 16 percent on value. It is pricier than 95 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 76 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Syberia: The World Before ($39.99, scores 57) beats it on value, while it beats Draugen ($19.99, scores 29).

Usually when i have a neutral opinion on the game, I just plaster "recommended" there. However, this one is an exception. This is a beautiful-looking game with lovely sound design and great characters. Is it buggy? Well, it's Unreal Engine, so that should answer the question. Plenty of bugs. Some stall progress. Some are softlocks. Some are hardlocks. Way too many HUD locks. Way too often input won't work properly...

I can't recommend Dahlia View in its current state. In just one hour of play, the game crashed around 10 times! The lock picking puzzle couldn't be solved on my handheld due to a bug, and the bag flying around like it lost gravity completely breaks the experience. It's a shame, because the game is genuinely beautiful, with well-drawn environments and good voice acting. Collecting clues was fun, and I enjoyed the...
