Got hooked by the 2D-3D feature but the gameplay and story are really linear and boring, would only recommend you buy this for a small kid or something like that, my nephew played it for a while and got bored too though
The Plucky Squire is a colorful, eternally slow movie that likes to mistake itself as a game, since sometimes you have to whack some enemies and jump on a few platforms. "Gameplay" is absurdly repetitive and limited but you don't exactly mind since there's a painfully long dialogue or cutscene every five f*cking seconds. This thing is so slow I dropped it twice mid run, decided to finish it and fast forwarded all...
A beautifully presented game with cute character design, story and puns. I did not play it for the combat, the puzzles, or if it had any difficulty progression system. It is just filled with child like wander, the mechanics and the textures of the book are so well made, and the shift in between 2D book and 3D Sam s room give it a different twist on making a different game, just here for something that felt different...
