What drives the score

How to read this

Every input gets a grade, S to D, read from the buyer's side. The score is multiplicative, so an input only counts as raising when it sits near the top of its own scale. Anything with real room left is holding the score back, because that room is the gap to 100. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. The exact weights stay secret.

The value story

The lowest price on record is $6.99, set in March 2026. It has been discounted 29 times in the 4 years tracked here, typically at 75 percent off, with about 6 weeks between sales. Today's $10.49 at 85 percent off still sits 50 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.

At full price it scores 20. The current cut is what makes it a 29.

It is pricier than 99 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 66 percent. Among the games that feel like it, STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order™ ($7.99, scores 77) beats it on value, while it beats Star Wars Outlaws ($17.49, scores 28).

Of the 800 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 13 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written June 2026 to September 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 30 percent of the 6,592 reviews written there were positive, against 71 percent overall, and those are 8 percent of everything written about it. It sells extras on top of the sticker price (cosmetic); the score docks it lightly for that.

The main story runs 20.6 hours. Doing everything runs 55, 2.7 times as long.

What players say

The game itself is stellar, but the PC version is stricken with bugs and optimization issues, and EA seems unconcerned with patching these issues. Do yourself a favor and just get it on console if you can.

You need the EA app installed on your computer to play this i have to give it a neggative review out of principale.

Gameplay: Solid and fun combat, but the side content loop is repetitive and bloated - no real rewards to justify chasing everything, so unless you're a completionist, skip most of it. Exploration: Both games suffer from the same issue: exploring rarely rewards you with anything meaningful. The first game at least had smaller, contained areas with good shortcuts, making backtracking less annoying. Verdict: Focus on...

The BANG Score is one number for value, 0 to 100: price against how it reviews and how long it was built to be. It answers the money question and stops there; whether the game is for you is still your call.

Reviews set the ceiling and price moves you inside it, so a cheap game that reviews badly cannot climb. Ratings from few reviewers are shrunk toward the middle, so 100 percent from nine people does not outrank 96 percent from ninety thousand. Length comes from HowLongToBeat where it can be matched, measured against a per-genre floor so a five-hour narrative game is judged against other narrative games rather than against a sixty-hour RPG. Where no verified length exists the score says so and carries a dock, because the biggest input is then a guess. The full method, including where it is weak → Steam reviews as of Sep 15, price as of Sep 23.
