The value story
The lowest price on record is $14.99, set in April 2026. 20 discounts in the 2 years on record. They run about 34 percent off, roughly 6 weeks apart. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended yesterday.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 5 percent on value. It is pricier than 96 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 85 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Satisfactory ($27.99, scores 98) beats it on value, while it beats FOUNDRY ($29.99, scores 29).
Steam's global achievement data puts about 2 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. On a 78.3-hour game, the hours short of it still count in its price per hour. 12 of the 623 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written April 2024 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 66 percent of the 142 reviews written there were positive, against 83 percent overall, and those are 8 percent of everything written about it.
Valve rates it Steam Deck Verified, so it runs on the handheld without fiddling.

This game is very charming and I really enjoyed my first 10-15 hours or so, but somewhere in there, it doesn't do enough to mitigate the drudgery, and getting anything done just starts to feel onerous. Which then gets you to a point where you don't want to play anymore, even if you were excited to see more progression. Some examples: - You have to run EVERYWHERE in this game, and the running isn't that quick...
As an automation game it's quite crap. It basically stops automating when you leave to explore or want to set up another "factory" somewhere else because enemies spawn ONLY if you're nearby and you need enemies to die in order to make more sparks. So if you're looking for an automation game this is not quite it, it's more of a semi-automation I guess I would call it. When I realised, the fun was drained.
I'm back on my factory and management game kick and this one is ADORABLE. If you're looking for a far more relaxed factory experience, at the point I've gotten to in the game, this is a great one. The mix of being able to use your little spark dudes like Pikmins to fight enemies and clear resources is a ton of fun, and the buildings/logistics in this game have a very fantastical charm to them. A fair warning to...
