I have absolutely adored this game since I've gotten it last year while it was still in early access, and has got to be by favorite game in terms of Music-Based Procedural Generation, there's no other quite like it, simple but so beautifully made, you just pick as song and enjoy it in a more interactive way. Melody's Escape 2 is just as enjoyable and challenging to play as the first game. Yes, you need to have mp3's of audiotracks in order to play, but it's well worth it. The algorithm for making the notes is really well done, and just for funsies I once even loaded up a chapter of an audiobook, and even THAT was fun and challenging to try to do. As far as games that a single indie dev has made, this is one of the best...
Overall I like it, however, coming off of the first game, I still prefer the original. This game very much feels more inconsistent with it's audio detection. Feeling sometime very off of the rhythm of what you're playing. While in comparison to the first game, it felt very much like you were playing the rhythm, you could see basslines for instance very easily. I play bass and guitar, I like it when I'm able to look...
