The value story

The lowest price on record is $6.79, set in June 2026. 35 discounts in the 4 years on record. They run about 30 percent off, roughly 5 weeks apart. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended 8 days ago.

Against its own genre it lands in the top 18 percent on value. It is pricier than 75 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 84 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Anomaly Agent ($11.99, scores 83) beats it on value, while it beats Have a Nice Death ($24.99, scores 64).

Of the 440 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 7 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written April 2023 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 79 percent of the 234 reviews written there were positive, against 93 percent overall, and those are 13 percent of everything written about it.

HowLongToBeat players log 7 hours as a typical playtime, and completionists log 17, 2.4 times as much.

Valve rates it Steam Deck Verified, and at 7 hours it is short enough to finish on one.

Spiritfall stands out in the action roguelite space by combining the progression and repeated-run structure of the genre with combat heavily inspired by platform fighters. Developed by Gentle Giant and published by Team17, it focuses on fast movement, aerial attacks, enemy launching, juggling, and environmental knockbacks rather than relying exclusively on conventional hack-and-slash mechanics. This combination...
