I am writing on behalf of my deceased friend who spent many hours on this game. i have not played it personally, but he very much enjoyed it while in hospital. I recommend it.

My personal favorite Roguelike. Love every minute, adore the mechanics. Insanely cool designs on bosses, weapons.. hype moments and aura Love it all
Dont get me wrong, its a great game, its very well made and clearly crafted with lots of love. But I personally find it kinda boring, its pretty cool at first but then it starts to feel unrewarding because all you really need to do is spam attack in most situations. When it is fun its really fun but those moments are pretty few and far between, I get why lots of people like it but I think its just meh.

Dead Cells is a roguelite, metroidvania inspired, action-platformer. You'll explore a sprawling, ever-changing castle... assuming you’re able to fight your way past its keepers in 2D souls-lite combat. No checkpoints. Kill, die, learn, repeat.
