(no spoilers ahead) great walking simulation game. I was really surprised by the actors they got for this, especially Arthur Morgan (Roger Clark). All the actors did a really good job. the environment and objects are very detailed, the lighting is perfect, and the story is also quite good. Last but not least, they also used facial mocap, and the faces look pretty real (not every AAA game goes that far!)
I was looking for a detox from long open world RPG's and found this little gem. It's a slow burn story driven movie sim but I like some of that, it has similarities to Directive 8020 but without the narrative choice. Good story line, good voice acting (Troy Baker, I mean how can you go wrong) a well crafted environment and Mars base setting and it carries that sci-fi ominous atmosphere. Fort Solis is a perfect example of how narrative games can either feel like a great story-driven experience or just a walking simulator with chores. There's a fine line between adding enough gameplay to support the narrative and filling it with annoying collectathon mechanics. Unfortunately, Fort Solis leans too far toward the latter.
