The value story
It has never been cheaper than $23.99. That was July 2025. 22 discounts in the 4 years on record. They run about 50 percent off, roughly 7 weeks apart. Today's $23.99 at 60 percent off matches the lowest price in the record.
Take the discount away and it is a 84. With it, 89.
Value puts it in the top 1 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 98 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 97 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling ($19.99, scores 96) beats it on value, while it beats DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake ($29.99, scores 49).
The math says it holds its tier up to $55.69, and you are being asked for $23.99.
Steam's global achievement data puts about 14 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. On a 59.8-hour game, the hours short of it still count in its price per hour. Of the 800 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 5 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written May 2024 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 76 percent of the 392 reviews written there were positive, against 93 percent overall, and those are 3 percent of everything written about it.
