The value story
It has never been cheaper than $12.99. That was November 2025. Its cuts run 25 percent off as a rule. There have been 25 in the 3 years tracked, about 6 weeks apart. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended 11 days ago.
Value puts it in the top 49 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 66 percent of its genre. Among the games that feel like it, Orbital Gear (free, scores 59) beats it on value, while it beats Hidden Deep ($24.99, scores 30).
Steam's global achievement data puts 37 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. The median game this site can measure sits at 15. Of the 800 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 23 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written November 2023 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 8 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 1,071 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 130 have a larger share. Inside the two-hour refund window, 72 percent of the 759 reviews written there were positive, against 80 percent overall, and those are 18 percent of everything written about it.

What players say
Just nostalgia bait, the game just isn't all that well made. The game balance is trash, the level system basically means nothing, the missions feel like community mods for Doom 2 and the fact that all your saves get deleted when you uninstall the game makes no damn sense. Games far older than this have managed to do everything this game fails at far better than it ever could, not worth your time or money unless...
A Game Blinded by Nostalgia Hundreds and thousands review the game as 'peak nostalgia', I'm sorry, this game does have its faults. It may be a good game, but to me it failed to capture the original charm it once had. It originally launched with some bugs although my experience was horrible. I don't recommend it at all, I've lost hours of progress to which the devs were aware, addressed and didn't properly fix it...
I loved the flash game as a kid. Now I played the renewed version and it's still amazing.
