What players say
It's okay, it really shines in its theme the Afro Caribbean style especially its soundtrack. The story is well written and charming. It gives you just enough intrigue and mystery to hint at what's coming in Episode 2, making it feel like the beginning of something much bigger. The characters, especially Bwana and Kito, are instantly likeable and carry the humour and heart of the game with ease.
The Journey Down: Chapter One was a fun little game. Now, on to Chapters Two and Three. I expect they will be just as enjoyable. The game was rather short, but I got the bundle on sale, and I'm not complaining. I would recommend it to fans of atmospheric, point-and-click adventures. This fits the bill.
An old-school point-and-click adventure game with a standout aesthetic and an intriguing setting. It reminds me a lot of Grim Fandango. Well worth looking into if you've got an itch to solve puzzles and commit petty theft.
